Help shape the Independent Patient Safety Investigation Service (IPSIS)

In August this year (2015) Jeremy Hunt, the Secretary of State for Health announced the government’s decision to establish a new Independent Patient Safety Investigation Service (IPSIS). This new organisation will launch in 2016.

In setting up the new organisation NHS leaders, including Dr Mike Durkin, Director of Patient Safety, NHS England, would like to know what you think.

NHS England has created a Call for Evidence where you can share your views and opinions.

You can read more about the scheme and what Dr Mike Durkin had to say here.

The engagement period will end on 31 October 2015.
