Cancer Innovation Challenge: Real World Evaluation

Health Innovation South West is excited to launch a Cancer Innovation Challenge this May. 

Cancer is a priority for our region, therefore we are looking to support innovations tackling any cancer type, from across the care pathway and/or supporting cross cutting themes such as health equity.

The Cancer Innovation Challenge aims to provide evaluation and business support for innovator-implementation site teams working in the field of Cancer in the South West region. Up to three teams will be awarded with a real world evaluation and business support over a 6-month period to support innovators to maximise learning about the implementation of their innovations.  

The Cancer Innovation Challenge is a two stage application process. Stage one is a written application form. From this a shortlist will be taken though to stage two which will be a virtual interview. Stage one application forms will be open on Tuesday 7 May for six weeks, closing on Monday 17 June at 1:00pm.

Health Innovation South West will run two online webinars to offer advice and guidance on applying for the Cancer Innovation Challenge. Attending the webinar is not mandatory and will not impact the outcome of an application

Webinar One: Introduction to the Cancer Innovation Challenge: Real World Evaluation

The first webinar is taking place on the 14 May, 3:30pm-4:30pm. We will give an overview of the Cancer Innovation Challenge. In the session we will discuss the Cancer theme, what we mean by real world evaluation and offer application advice.
