Reducing Risk, Improving Lives: The Role of Smoking Cessation in CVRM Disease

Smoking remains one of the most important modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular, renal and metabolic (CVRM) disease, and every interaction with a smoker represents an opportunity to support positive behaviour change and improve long-term health outcomes.

Join us for this webinar to explore the latest approaches to smoking cessation, including effective treatment options, practical signs and opportunities to identify in clinical practice, and the role of both primary and secondary care in supporting patients to quit. We will also provide an update on a regional smoking cessation project being developed by the Health Innovation West of England team, with an opportunity for discussion and exploration of how this work may support local systems and services.

This session forms part of the South West CVRM Webinar Series, delivered by the South West CVRM Collaborative, a partnership between the Health Innovation Networks for Wessex, the South West and the West of England. The series is open to all healthcare professionals, clinicians and programme managers with an interest or role in CVRM disease areas and aims to share learning, innovation and best practice from across the region.
