Join us to shape the future of rural and coastal health
Nearly 1 in 5 people in OECD countries live in rural areas, where they face unique health inequalities.
The Rural & Coastal Health Summit 2026 is the inaugural summit hosted by Health Innovation South West on behalf of the PRIP – bringing together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers from across health, research, policy, and industry to tackle the challenges facing rural and coastal communities.
About the Summit
Set in the South West Peninsula – one of England’s most expansive and geographically isolated regions – the summit will showcase how the area is pioneering innovative approaches and serving as a testing ground for transformative health solutions.
The summit will bring together leaders and decision-makers from health, research, policy, industry, and community sectors – offering a unique opportunity to focus attention on pressing issues and explore practical, scalable solutions.

The venue
By car
Venue parking is free and available at St James Street Car Park. At Junction 25, take the A358 Exit to Taunton/ Yeovil. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (south) or 3rd exit (north) onto the A358 heading to Taunton/ A38/ Minehead, continuing straight onto Toneway/ A358. Bear left at the next roundabout, keeping the Petrol Station on the right. Go straight on at the traffic lights and the entrance can be found 100 yards along on the right.
By rail
Taunton Train Station is a ten minute walk from the venue. As you leave the Station, turn left into Station Road, heading towards the Town Centre. Turn left onto Priory Bridge Road, and the venue will be on your right.
Accessibility
The venue is fully accessible, with lifts to additional floors in all buildings.
