An innovation space for the South West
Our Event and Innovation Space is home to our staff and partners, and plays host to an array of guests, from local innovators and healthcare workers to regional universities and national government.
Many guests use our Event and Innovation Space to run training or leadership programmes, or in partnership with our team at Health Innovation South West.

From our interactive amphitheatre and innovation space to our collection of conference rooms, booths and pods, we have a variety of cleverly designed spaces to share with you.
Guests using our site can expect access to our free parking spaces and bike park, toilets (including shower and disabled facilities), refreshments, and office-wide Wi-Fi.
Whether you are bringing people together for large events or showcases, need breakout spaces for workshops and encouraging ideas, or simple facilities for meetings or deep focus work, we have a space for you.
We also offer a selection of bookable desks.
Where we are
Close to the M5 and accessible by train and taxi, we convene teams gathering across the region as they develop, innovate and run improvement projects. Directions on how to reach us here.

Amphitheatre
The amphitheatre is a stylish, modern events space, enclosed in glass for privacy during your event. Set up in a lecture theatre-style formation, this space includes hybrid technology.
Ideal for:
- All day events with main speakers and workshops
- Presentation and networking-style events
- Events where there is a flow of people, and multiple activities during the event

Conference Rooms
Our conference rooms sit in a quieter area, allowing for more privacy and focused work.
There are two rooms, the larger of which has a solid wooden divider, allowing it to be divided into two separate spaces. The spaces can be tailored to your needs, with chairs arranged in a cabaret, theatre or boardroom style.

- Training events
- AGMs with presentations
- Self-contained events requiring privacy
- Smaller events

The Innovation Space
The Innovation Space, with its far-reaching views over the Devon countryside, is particularly suited for exploratory or brainstorming events. It can be arranged as a simple circle of chairs with a whiteboard, or have tables added.
Ideal for:
- Small creative events
- Collaborative working
- Thought leadership and workshopping

Private booths
There are several comfy booths beside our cafe area which can hold small meetings.
Capacity: Four people per booth
Soundproof pods
We have two semi-soundproof pods available to book.
Ideal for:
- Individual online meetings
- Confidential conversations
Capacity: One or two people per pod
Desk hire
We have a selection of bookable desks. With full access to facilities on site, each desk comes complete with all the connection points you need to plug in a laptop and start work. We offer everything from one-off bookings of single desks to regular bookings, or a group of desks in a cluster.

We offer flexible pricing options, with rates for block bookings and delegate deals.

Accessibility
We designed our space with accessibility in mind.
There are two disabled parking bays, immediately outside the main entrance, and access is level throughout the property.
We are situated on the second floor, and there are two lifts that travel between our reception on the ground floor and our Event and Innovation Space.
Our wide open space is easy to access with a wheelchair. There is a disabled-access toilet alongside the main toilet facilities.
Assistance dogs are welcome, and they can be made comfortable in the conference rooms or desk areas.
The building is well lit and benefits from glass windows on all sides, allowing plenty of natural light throughout. Where there are glass interior walls, these have translucent panels, allowing them to be distinguished by those who have sight impairments.
For events, we have connections with British Sign Language interpreters as well as facilities for breastfeeding and praying. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
Our cafe area
Our cafe area is open to all, whether booking the space for an event or hiring a desk.
It has relaxed seating areas with tables and chairs, as well as bar seating with stools. The kitchen area is equipped with a hot water boiler, fridges, a freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a sandwich toaster, and a fresh grind coffee machine, which are available for guests to use.
