Supporting teams across the South West to reduce deterioration-associated harm
The national Managing Deterioration Safety Improvement Programme (ManDetSIP) was run locally by our South West Patient Safety Collaborative.
Our ambition was to improve the prevention, identification, escalation, and response to physical deterioration among residents and patients, through better system coordination and as part of safe and reliable pathways of care.
We supported the increased adoption and spread of deterioration management tools in care homes in the South West, including those homes caring for people with a Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health.
We also supported training for care home staff and primary care teams in the use of deterioration tools RESTORE2 and RESTORE2 mini. Learn more about our work with RESTORE2.
