Accelerating ICB Innovation: New report outlines insights to strengthen adoption readiness

A new report published by the Health Innovation Network explores how Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) can strengthen their capability to adopt innovation at pace and scale.

The ICB Innovation Adoption Learning Collaborative: End of project report provides a comprehensive picture of current attitudes, capabilities, and ICB readiness for adopting innovation.

The project identified that adoption accelerates when ICBs create consistent conditions, governance routes, leadership permission, and resourcing, enabling innovations to move from ideas to routine practice.

Commissioned by NHS England’s Innovation, Research, Life Sciences and Strategy (IRLSS) team, in collaboration with The NHS Alliance, the project was delivered by Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) and Health Innovation Wessex (HIW) on behalf of the Health Innovation Network.
